Terms of Use

These terms cover the KT app and trykt.app (“KT”), run by Knowledge Transfer. By using KT you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use KT.

Your account

You sign in with your email address. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. You need to be at least 13 to use KT. You can delete your account any time in the app under Account, then Delete account. That also cancels your membership.

KT Membership

• KT Membership is an auto-renewing monthly subscription. The price and free-trial length are shown before you start.
• Your trial is free. If you don’t cancel before it ends, you’re charged the monthly price, and again each month until you cancel.
• Cancel any time in the app under Account, then Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments aren’t refundable, but write to us if something went wrong and we’ll make it right.
• We’ll tell you before any price change takes effect for you.

AI-made episodes

KT’s episodes and answers are researched, written and voiced by AI from public sources, and they cite those sources. They can still contain mistakes. Don’t rely on KT for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Requests and acceptable use

Episodes you request may be added to KT’s shared library for other listeners. They’re never linked to your name. KT has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don’t use KT to:

• request sexual content, or content meant to harass, threaten, mock or demean a person or group;
• dig up someone’s private details, such as their home address, phone number, health or sex life;
• get instructions for hurting people, or for anything illegal;
• break KT, overload it, or get around the membership.

Requests like these are declined automatically. Any listener can report an episode from the player’s menu. We review every report within 24 hours, remove episodes that break these terms, and close the accounts of people who request them. If an episode is about you and you want it changed or removed, email us.

KT’s content

KT, its episodes, voices and artwork belong to Knowledge Transfer. You may listen to them and share links to them, but not copy, resell or republish the audio.

No warranty and liability

KT is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Knowledge Transfer isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using KT, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Apple

If you got KT from the App Store, these terms are between you and Knowledge Transfer, not Apple. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for KT.
